July 3-4 Fourth of July Art Show in Mentone-On July 4th weekend, the Arts Council, along with the Mentone Springs
Hotel, is sponsoring its Fourth of July Art Show. Over 40 artists from across the region will be on hand to show their
work on Saturday and Sunday. There will be a Low Country Boil at the Hotel on Sunday night. More details about
that to follow.

of yard sales and unique treasure finds. Follow the Lookout Mountain Parkway from Gadsden, Alabama to

September 4-5 Labor Day Art Show in Mentone
September 24 & 25 Collinsville Annual Quilt Walk Stroll through the beautiful historic Victorian homes of downtown
Collinsville and view some of the most wonderfully handcrafted quilts you have ever seen. Hours are Friday Noon to 5

While you are in downtown Mentone, drop by the Mentone Realty Gallery to see an exhibition of works by local artist,
Lucy Mitchell Lucy brings to the canvas an image of Native Americans that portrays her feelings of their dignity,
mystery and ultimate tragedy. We are very fortunate to have this exhibit in Mentone and you should make an effort to
see it while it is on display. The exhibition runs until July 10, 2010, and the gallery is open from 9:00 until 4:00 Monday
through Friday, and Saturday from 10:00 until 2:00.

Fall Colorfest -- Third Weekend in October-Its hard to improve on Mother Nature's shows this time of year, but
Mentone folks give it a shot! Storytelling, sing-a-longs and dancing fill the crisp, cool air on Friday evening while
children roast marshmallows around a huge bon-fire. Saturday and Sunday are filled with live entertainment all day
long, while local artists and craftsmen display their hand-crafted wares. The Saturday afternoon parade and activities
on Little River add to the festive atmosphere.
